A man who was illegally living on land not meant for residential use has been fined more than £4,500.

Last year theft of the iconic vehicles rose by 34 per cent and that is expected to rise again this year.

Just a few minutes after midnight this morning (Sunday) the Critical Control Centre of Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service took multiple calls reporting a fire in the Lewannick area near Launceston.

"It also has a significant impact on livestock and wildlife, and often participants leave the land badly damaged.

Reports of a combine harvester on fire in a field in Binegar near Emborough, Wells came in at 1.37pm.

The mum from Falmouth said: "I came across a headless deer washed up on Portreath beach on a family beach trip and it [seems] unexplainable. It was relatively fresh as it had blood coming from the neck and no sign of decomposition. As you can imagine the kids were frightened and nobody seemed to know what to do with it."
