Police are warning farmers that older tractors and equipment are being stolen from farms in the south west and further afield.
Wiltshire Rural Crime Team has issued a warning to farmers, stating that classic vehicles such as Massey Fergusons, are being stolen due to the 'simplicity of mechanical maitenance' and then being exported overseas.
They are advising farmers to take note of all serial numbers, VIN numbers, model numbers and identifying marks to prove ownership of these vehicles. The police force are also suggesting you take photos of the tractors as well.
