A rural pub in Tideswell, Derbyshire, UK has taken a step forward for the farming community by creating the “first tractor parking space” in the world.
The Anchor Inn, which is operated by Rick Ellison since 2016, focuses on fresh local produce with a farm-to-fork ethos. The new parking addition highlights this involvement for the farming community.
The pub owner stated that he often remembers a young teenage boy who brought his girlfriend to the Anchor Inn for a meal on a “rusty old Massey Ferguson”.
He added that he felt the girl was a bit “put out” by the mode of transport but it was the thought that counts and that it was “pretty sweet”.
The tractor parking space has become a “major” talking point around the local community and many farmers have been stopping by, taking pictures of their “pride and joy” in the parking spot.
