Two hurt in crash on A66 near Barnard Castle

TWO people were injured in a crash involving a tractor and two cars on the A66 near Barnard Castle.
Emergency services were alerted after the collision at Rokeby at about 5pm on Tuesday (May 31).
The road remained open but was down to one lane while police dealt with the incident and the vehicles were recovered.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Police were called to a three-vehicle collision shortly before 5pm last night (May 31) on the A66, westbound at Rokeby.
"It involved a black Nissan Note, a black Mercedes Sprinter and a red Scania tractor.
"Two of the three drivers were injured and one was taken to Darlington Memorial hospital with facial injuries.
"All of the vehicles were recovered and the road was reopened."
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: A NEAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 4.48pm yesterday to reports of a multi-vehicle road traffic incident on the A66 near Rokeby, County Durham.
