A distinctive red Massey Ferguson 1747 compact tractor and attached Maschio Barbi Topper (mulcher) model 180 were stolen from a family farm south-east of Shifnal, Shropshire, near the A464, during the night of March 19th. The thieves cut through four wire fences and drove through a hedge to make their getaway.
The tractor is of huge sentimental value to the farmer and is distinctive due to its compact size and a ‘KO Machines’ decal on the bonnet. Given that it is a ‘compact’ model, and not capable of being driven quickly, it will stand out if seen on the road.
West Mercia Police are investigating, however the public are asked to be on the alert. Particularly if they come across such a vehicle unexpectedly.
