A farmer in the North Yorkshire Moors has been left frustrated after a sheep had to be euthanised following a collision with a car.

Moor Houses Farm, in Bransdale, said an ewe sustained 'significant injuries' after being hit by a car on Tuesday (September 5) with one of its back legs being 'ripped off' in the incident.
