The fire happened on Tuesday, August 1, at Trucketts Hall in Boxted with police receiving a report from the fire service of a field fire at about 9pm.
Anyone who saw any suspicious activity, or who knows who is responsible is being asked to contact Bury St Edmund police, quoting crime number 37/44861/23.
