Police crack down on rural crime across Uttlesford and Braintree in day of action

Police carried out patrols and hundreds of speed checks during a day of action aimed at keeping rural roads across Uttlesford safe.

Essex Police’s Rural Engagement Team joined forces with both Uttlesford and Braintree Community Policing Teams to keep a watchful eye over the two districts, focusing on rural crime and traffic enforcement.

The day of action on December 20 utilised data showing areas and roads particularly vulnerable to serious or fatal collisions.
