Police are appealing for witnesses after a barn in a Cambridgeshire village was deliberately set alight. Officers attended the arson in Wilburton on the evening of June 27 but were unable to find the suspects.
Cambridgeshire police were alerted to the fire at White Cross Road at 9:25pm. Fire crews also attended and the blaze was extinguished, but the barn was left damaged.
The county's Rural Crime Action Team (RCAT) explained in an appeal for information that arson is costly for building owners. In a post on Twitter, they wrote: "As well as the costs to the owner, arson also affect the ability of the fire service to respond to more serious life threatening incidents."
