Officers in Swindon are appealing for the public’s help following a number of incidents involving illegal riding of motorcycles in the Penhill and Pinehurst area.
The individuals have been riding scrambler bikes in an anti-social manner in the area in recent months which has led to multiple reports of concern from residents.
On Saturday (12/03), one of the individuals caused issues after the local Park Run event at Sevenfields.
Then shortly before 2pm on Tuesday 15 March, the group were seen shouting at local people in the same area, before a man in his 50s attempted to engage with the group. One of the riders kicked the man to his hand, causing his phone to fall to the ground. Fortunately, the man was not injured but was shaken up.
Reports have also been taken of scramblers being ridden in an anti-social manner in the Pinehurst area.
Neighbourhood Insp Carly Nesbitt said: “We are aware of a group of individuals who have been riding scrambler bikes around the area for some time now – the manner of riding is unacceptable.
