Police are investigating reports of a robbery after a man allegedly made threats with a bladed weapon and fled with a large sum of cash from a village shop near Gainsborough. An attempted robbery is also being investigated, which police are considering to be linked to the robbery, where a man reportedly made threats with a household tool and demanded money from another nearby village shop, but was unsuccessful.

The robbery was reported to have taken place at around 6.50pm on Friday, March 3 at Blyton General Store on High Street, Blyton. A man allegedly demanded money from the till and is reported to have stolen several hundred pounds, carrying a dark shopping bag, before fleeing the scene.
