Counsellors have warned the Government there could be a cost-of-living risk to farmer's mental health if it does not act quickly to offer support.
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) said it feared there could be an increase in the number of farmers taking their own lives across the UK due to 'pressures' from the cost-of-living crisis.
To mark National Suicide Prevention week, Anna Daroy, BACP's chief executive, has challenged the Government to invest more in counselling and psychotherapy support for farmers and rural communities.
