Farming leaders look forward to a happier new year

Following another year of volatility that has touched all aspects of farming from politics to the weather - farming leaders have shared their hopes for a more peaceful and sustainable New Year.

Mr Coulman said: "There is always a sense of anticipation when we stand on the cusp of a New Year. Among the many things we are expecting in 2024, there are three particular issues, for which the groundwork has already been done, that could make a huge difference to the tenanted sector of agriculture."
