Ewes could lose lambs following dog attack in North Perrott

A FARMER is experiencing an anxious wait to discover whether his ewes will lose their lambs following a dog attack.

The pregnant ewes were fortunate to survive the incident on a farm in North Perrott thanks to the intervention of a vet.

The attack took place between 2.30pm on Sunday (February 6) and 7am the following morning.
A South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing team spokesperson said: "The ewes suffered a dog attack at a farm in North Perrott.

"Thankfully, after vet intervention, these ewes survived. However, these ewes are in lamb and it is unknown whether they will."
