A 31-year-old man from Oxford Road, Gerrard's Cross has been sentenced to six and a half months in prison for stealing a cattle trailer as well as driving while disqualified and without third party insurance.
Edward Conory was witnessed hitching up a cattle trailer from a farm on the A355 and driving away with it around 2:53p.m on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.
Approximately 14 minutes later Police officers located the trailer attached to a green Fiat Sedici parked in a layby on Copperkins Lane; however, two people fled the vehicles and ran off before they could be detained.
During a subsequent forensic examination of the vehicle, a fingerprint was found on a window which was matched to Conory.
Then on Monday, February 7, this year, officers on patrol in Slough were overtaken by a Blue VW Touran. The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified himself as Conory - and he did not hold a driver's licence.
Conroy was arrested and subsequently charged at High Wycombe Magistrates Court on Tuesday, February 8.
