£158k of machinery recovered from ‘scene like an Avengers film’

Warwickshire Police’s rural crime team has recovered £158,000 worth of stolen machinery in a mission it said was “like a scene from the latest Avengers film”.
On February 21, officers of Warwickshire’s rural crime team were contacted by the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS) regarding two stolen quad bikes just outside Cleeve Prior, Worcesershire.
In a Facebook post on shared on Wednesday (March 8), the team said: “Like a scene from the latest Avengers film, we assembled our motley crew and made best speed towards the location.
“While on route we contact West Mercia Police to see it they fancied joining our little posse, which they gratefully accepted.
“After rendezvousing nearby with officers from the local SNT and NavCIS we continued on to the site to see what we could find.”
The team said it immediately located and secured the quad bikes, which had been stolen from the Binton area in Warwickshire, and then spotted an area of the site that machinery like “quad bikes, trailers, caravans and cement mixers”.
